In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
We Praise him, and we ask his blessings on his noble prophet.”

Hadith Qudsi

On the behalf of Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhaniyy (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) led the prayer in the morning for usat al-Hudaybiyah which was then followed by rainfall during the night. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) finished, he faced the people and said to them:
Do you know what your Lord has said? They said: Allah and his Messenger know best. He said: This morning one of my servants became a believer in Me and one a disbeliever. As for him who said: We have been given rain by virtue of Allah and His mercy, that one is a believer in Me, and as for him who said: We have been given rain by such a star, that one is a disbeliever in Me, a believer in the stars.
The pre-Islamic Arabians believed that rain was brought by the movement of stars. This Hadith draws attention to the fact that whatever the reason of such natural phenomena as rain, it’s Allah the Almighty who is the Disposer of all things. It is related by al-Bukhari (also by Malik and an-Nasa’i).

Then he ascended with him till he reached the second heaven and he (Jibraeel) said to its gatekeeper, ‘Open (the gate).’ The gatekeeper said to him the same as the gatekeeper of the first heaven had said and he opened the gate. Anas said: “Abu Dhar added that the Prophet met Adam, Idris, Musa, Isa and Ibrahim, Abu Dhar has not mentioned on which heaven they were but he mentioned that he (the Prophet) met Adam on the nearest heaven and Ibrahim on the sixth heaven. Anas said, “When Jibraeel along with the Prophet passed by Idris, the latter said, ‘Welcome! O pious Prophet and brother.’ The Prophet asked, ‘Who is he?’ Jibraeel answered, ‘He is Idris.” The Prophet added, “He passed by Musa and he said, ‘Welcome! O pious Prophet pious brother.’ He asked Jibraeel, ‘Who is he?’ Jibraeel answered, ‘He is Musa.’ Then He passed by Isa and he said, ‘Welcome! O pious brother and pious Prophet.’ He asked, ‘Who is he?’ Jibraeel answered, ‘He is Isa.
Then He passed by Ibrahim and he said, ‘Welcome! O pious Prophet and son.’ He asked Jibraeel, ‘Who is he?’ Jibraeel answered, ‘He is Ibrahim. The Prophet added, ‘Then Jibraeel ascended with me to a place where I heard the creaking of the pens.” Ibn Hazm and Anas bin Malik said: The Prophet said, “Then Allah obligated fifty prayers on the followers when He returned with this order of Allah, He passed by Musa who asked me, ‘What has Allah obligated on your followers?’ He replied, ‘He has obligated fifty prayers on them.’ Musa said, ‘Go back to your Lord (and appeal for reduction) for your followers will not be able to bear it.’ (So He went back to Allah and requested for reduction) and He reduced it to half. When He passed by Musa again and informed him about it, he said, ‘Go back to your Lord as your followers will not be able to bear it.’ So He returned to Allah and requested for more reduction and half of it was reduced. He again passed by Musa and he said to me: ‘Return to your Lord, for your followers will not be able to bear it. So He returned to Allah and He said, ‘These are five prayers and they are all (equal to) fifty (in reward) for My Word does not change.’ He returned to Musa and he told Him to go back once again. He replied, ‘Now I feel shy of asking my Lord again.’ Then Jibraeel took Him till they ” reached Sidrat-il-Muntaha (Tree of; the utmost boundry) which was filled in colors, indescribable. Then He admitted into Paradise where He found small (tents or) walls (made) of pearls and its earth was of musk.”

Volume 1, Book 8, Number 345: BUKHARI

Narrated Abu Dhar: Allah’s Apostle said, “While I was at Mecca the roof of my house was opened and Jibraeel descended, opened my chest, and washed it with Zam-zam water. Then he brought a golden tray full of wisdom and faith and having poured its contents into my chest, he closed it. Then he took my hand and ascended with me to the nearest heaven, when I reached the nearest heaven, Jibraeel said to the gatekeeper of the heaven, ‘Open (the gate).’ The gatekeeper asked, ‘Who is it?’ Jibraeel answered: ‘Jibraeel.’ He asked, ‘Is there anyone with you?’ Jibraeel answered, ‘Yes, Muhammad is with me.’ He asked, ‘Has he been called?’ Jibraeel said, ‘Yes.’ So the gate was opened and we went over the nearest heaven and there we saw a man sitting with some people on his right and some on his left. When he looked towards his right, he laughed and when he looked toward his left he wept. Then he said, ‘Welcome! O pious Prophet and pious son.’ I asked Jibraeel, ‘Who is he?’ He replied, ‘He is Adam and the people on his right and left are the souls of his offspring. Those on his right are the people of Paradise and those on his left are the people of Hell and when he looks towards his right he laughs and when he looks towards his left he weeps.’
